SECC 2024

In 2024, the SECC was only run from Ystad to Haparanda, meaning there was no competition on the return trip. Once again, we were able to attract a record number of teams to the start. A total of 16 cars competed this year.

Once again we got a new record time of 18:05 set by Edvin Jacobsson and Peter Kiel Andersson in a NIO ET5. The first time a Tesla did not win the SECC. In fact, the best Tesla this year came in third place because Joel Bergström took second place in a Polestar 2. Third came Niklas Zetterling.

The full list of results can be found below. As we received excellent help both at the start and finish with registering each team's start and arrival time, we can report exact times to the second this year. At the start, there was more than a minute between the first team starting and the last one leaving. The result times have been corrected to take this into account.

If you want to delve deeper into what happened during SECC 2024, you have almost 20 hours of wonderfully entertaining slow-TV at the links below. Joel Bergström broadcasted live on YouTube before and throughout the competition. He also had contact with several other competitors that you can both see and hear in his broadcasts. There are two because YouTube only allows a maximum of 12 hours in a row.
