This year's SECC looks set to be one of the most exciting in a long time, with several strong candidates vying for the top spots. We believe the Zeekr 7X could definitely be one of the cars that can challenge for the win. It's not the most economical car in the field, but it's one of the cars that can charge with the absolute highest power in this year's starting lineup. And this year we also have two registered. Among these participants we find a driver who not only has his sights set on a forward position - but who also uses the competition to make a difference off the track.
During the month of June, a fundraiser was launched for the benefit of a local charity. We think it is both an appreciated and inspiring initiative. We got a few words from the driver and initiator behind the initiative, Alexander Lindé:
Together with some partners, we have started a fundraiser and a competition to benefit the organization we support. We will end this entire fundraising month by participating in SECC and will draw prizes for our customers who donate a penny to charity and guess our finishing time in the competition. The organization is called Bara Vara Barn and is located in Borlänge, where we are also located, and supports children and families in vulnerable situations.
And about his own goals and expectations, he continued:
Our thoughts on the competition are that it looks like it will be a very exciting year with many strong candidates for the top positions. I have long wanted to participate, and felt that now was really the time. I personally think that we have a good chance of getting high on the list, but there are some really sharp cars in this year's starting field, which I think we have to watch out for. First, we have the iX3, Lotus, Audi and then also a CLA which I think can be really dangerous competitors. In the end, I think it will largely depend on whether you encounter obstacles along the way or that someone makes the wrong choice of route, etc.
We of course wish Alexander and his co-driver the best of luck in this year's SECC, which will be their debut. And we also hope that the fundraising will be successful. And our tip for the finishing times for the Zeekr cars is in the region of last year's winning times.
